This new year everyone seems to be working on new projects.
So our "Project Pow-Wow" will be a great time to make art, share what you are working on, and to discuss what your plans are for the new year.
We also hope to discuss ways we can improve our working methods as working artists too, a few of the subjects for discussion are:

A new convention in the Bay Area ?!?!!
That's right, Image Comics is having a small convention to celebrate their anniversary February 2012

Artist Alley (look under Rae Wood and Brian Kolm)
"Image Expo is the premier comic con experience of Northern California in 2012. The three-day event takes place at the Oakland Convention Center February 24-25-26. Celebrating the creative spirit of independence, The Image Comic Expo commemorates the formation of IMAGE COMICS 20 years ago. But more than just looking to the past, the event showcases the evolving the comic market by spotlighting the future of the publisher."
I will be sharing an artist alley table with artist Rae Wood (raewood.com) and be premiering a new comic book as well as have art prints (fantasy, tiki, etc) on hand.

CAM-JAM animation this Sunday May 22

I am helping to organize another cartoon art jam at the Cartoon Art Museum this Sunday May 22. All day.
On May 22, 2011 the Cartoonist Conspiracy San Francisco and the Cartoon Art Museum Bookstore will be kicking off the third year of CAM-JAM's, cartoonist collaboration events. The CAM-JAM's have tried different themes in the past such as Tikis and Samurais, but this time we will go with something a bit more challenging…Animation. With a mix of old school drawing goodness and desk top video technology we will attempt to collaborate and create 30 seconds of animation within the length of the event from 11am to 5pm.
Will you come and join us? All artist are welcome.

Been so busy of late I almost forgot to remind everyone that I am exhibiting at Wondercon on April 1-3, 2011. I will be at Artist Alley AA-043 and will be selling comics, sketchbooks, and other goodies as well as taking on commissions. So drop by when your at the convention.
